In some cases hard tissue augmentation, or bone grafting, is necessary either prior to or at the time of implant placement in order to ensure the implant is fully encased in bone for its long-term stability and longevity. Dr. Schmalz has experience with many types of grafting techniques including bone grafts that involve your sinus. At your consultation she will discuss whether any tissue augmentation is necessary while reviewing your treatment plan.
